Year 1: ALX

The first year of Pathway starts with ALX. Learners must first apply and be accepted into the ALX programme.
The first two terms of the learner’s journey include foundational leadership skills training and professional development through ALX. During this time, all learners will be required to attend the ALX Hub closest to them for academic, networking, and social events.
After successful completion of this year, learners earn a certificate of completion issued by ALX to certify their skills.

- Quantitative Reasoning
- Communication for impact
- Entrepreneurial Thinking
- Intro to Tech Basic
Year 2: U.S. Partner University
Associate’s Degree
During year 1 of Pathway, learners will start to apply and enrol to our U.S. partner university, which they will begin attending in year 2. From year 2 onward, there are no in-person requirements. All instruction will take place online. However, it is recommended that Pathway learners visit the Hub closest to them at least once per week to get the most out of the Pathway programme.
In year 2, learners will seamlessly transfer their credits and learnings from year 1 towards their chosen degree path to enrol in our U.S. partner university. In this time, learners begin their chosen technical specialisation that will prepare the learners for a career in that field of study.
At the end of year 2, learners earn an Associate’s degree awarded by our U.S. partner university.

This is an accelerated degree programme, but it does not cut corners. Learners take the same number of credit hours as any other university student, but can complete their degree in 3 years instead of 4 or more.
At the end of the third and final year, successful learners earn a Bachelor’s degree issued by our U.S. partner university.
